# Inserting a Background Video into Webflow Designer

#### Step 1: Select the Target Element

First, choose the element where the background video will be applied.

* Open your project in **Webflow Designer**.
* Click to select the **element** that will contain the background video.

#### Step 2: Open Video Options

Next, access the background video insertion option.

* Locate the video in the **Video Tab**.
* Click the **three-dot (⋮) icon** next to the video card.

This will open the video options popup.

#### Step 3: Insert as Background Video

Now apply the video as a background.

* Click **Insert Background Video** from the popup menu.
* The selected element will automatically receive the video as its background.
